Position: K-12 Academic Professional Development Sales Representative
Reports To: Manager, Products Department
Role:
- Executing sales activities based on strategic priorities of company
- Prospecting in agreed upon territories
- Communicating the value and benefits of our products
- Creating opportunities for demonstrations, presentations or evaluations
- Closing new or renewed product sales based on a 3-9 month sales cycle
Results:
- Increase product sales or renewals
- Maintain daily activity targets
Responsibilities:
- Working as a member of the product team, ensure strategic and operational alignment with Product Coordinator
- Participate in developing new sales campaigns
- Execute sales campaigns
- Meet regularly with the product team regarding pre and post sale activities and schedules
- Communicate new customer information to Customer Support Representative
- Qualify, prioritize and rank leads and accounts
- Update sales activities daily and report these activities to the products team on a regular basis
- Perform requisite number of activities per week
Specific Tasks - Inside Sales:
- Make appropriate number of calls to new prospects each day
- Make renewal calls based on timeline milestones
- Make timely follow through calls
- Keep accurate, detailed records of all calls and provide weekly activity and status reports
- Contact existing customers to solicit referrals
- Deliver phone/web demos of product
- Qualifying opportunities for cross product sales
Specific Tasks - Outside Sales:
- Participate in events (trade shows and sales trips) as required
- Pre event
- Participating in product team planning process
- Generating creative ways to multiply post event opportunities
- Defining a specific pre, during and post action plan for self during event
- Making marketing calls regarding Etraffic presence at event
- Participating in logistical preparation activities
- During event
- Communicating the value and benefits of our products
- Creating opportunities for demonstrations, presentations or evaluations
- Hosting meetings
- Collecting leads for follow up
- Post event
- Following up all leads from event
- Participating in Lessons Learned review
